Louis G. Santiago was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and grew up in the Alfred E. Smith housing projects of New York City among the street characters and gangs that inhabit The Ambassador’s Apprentice, his first novel. Before discovering his passion for writing, he was a Wall Street stockbroker and a semi-professional football player. 

He now lives in West Caldwell, New Jersey with his wife, Viviana.
